Craft Music's Approach To Study

Hello! Here's a little about our approach at Craft Music:

For one, we aim to teach you the technique of your chosen instrument. Through technique, one learns rhythm, harmony, and the traditional aspects of the instrument. In addition we focus on where the instrument fits in a larger musical context - through musical tradition and instrumentation.

Secondly, we see music as a means to creative expression. Music is a language that is designed, like all language, for self-expression. We encourage the student to express themselves through musical improvisation, composition, and through written pieces.

Lastly, like any language, music is communal. Students have the opportunity to collaborate, and to perform in online and in-home workshops, recitals and teacher salons.
