Andrew Funcheon is a drummer, percussionist, composer, and audio engineer working across a broad range of genres. Andrew earned both Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School, where he studied under Daniel Druckman (Associate Principal Percussion - New York Philharmonic) and Gregory Zuber (Principal Percussion - MET Opera Orchestra). Since graduating, he has performed with a number of the world's foremost ensembles, such as the New York Philharmonic, The Chamber Orchestra of New York, and The Orchestra Now. He has performed at many world-renowned venues, including Carnegie Hall, David Geffen Hall, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, and the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman. Andrew is also an experienced drum set player and has toured much of North America as a drummer and singer with rock/pop bands. Andrew is also active as a composer and audio engineer. He has composed music and designed sounds for modern dance and film and has written songs for bands and solo artists. He is also an active audio engineer and music producer, working on projects ranging from solo pop artists to professional orchestras and choirs, taking projects from planning through mastering. Above all, Andrew is a passionate educator and loves sharing his joy for music with others. In addition to his work as a private teacher, he is also an Adjunct Professor of Music at The Pingry School and the Percussion and Ear Training Faculty at the Luzerne Music Center. He works hard to create personalized and specifically tailored plans for each student's goals and desires and is motivated to help students and families exceed their expectations!
