About Gillian


Gillian Espinoza is an LA based cellist originally from the High Desert. She grew up as a trained flutist, then transitioned to the cello at age eighteen.

She studied at her local community college for five years before transferring to the University of Redlands, where she studied with Kyle Champion.

Graduating in 2018 with her BA in cello performance, she continued to join various orchestra groups and teach privately throughout the Inland Empire before finally making the move to Los Angeles in 2022.

Gillian has performed under director Zain Khan for Vicente Chamber Orchestra, and currently performs with Santa Monica Symphony, Pacific Opera Project, and teaches for the Los Angeles Philharmonic YOLA music program.
