Irene

Irene

Irene Kim teaches Piano to students of all ages. Her depth and breadth of understanding and can-do-it attitude is inspiring to all her students. Irene’s professional training has been centered at the Peabody Conservatory, where she recently received her Doctorate in Musical Arts. She was awarded the Albert and Rosa Silverman Memorial Scholarship, the Lillian Gutman Memorial Piano Prize, and Clara Ascherfeld Award by the Conservatory for her musical endeavors during her studies there. Her mentors and teachers, Marian Hahn and Boris Slutsky, have been infinitely inspiring in the impartation of their passion for the art of musicianship.

Jonah

Jonah

Jonah first began playing classical piano at age 8. In high school, he was introduced to Thelonious Monk and promptly fell in love with jazz, funk, rock, and other groove and improvisational based music. He teaches piano performance, jazz and improvisation to all levels. Aside from teaching, Jonah is a freelance keyboardist, and producer, and can often be heard performing about town.

Max

Max is a laid-back piano teacher with a ton of experience and skill. His students feel lucky they work with him. He sees teaching is a journey in which a teacher collaborates with their students. Max Naseck is a pianist/keyboardist, composer, producer, and music director based in Los Angeles, CA. He performs a wide variety of music on a regular basis and has played and toured with acts such as Raquel Rodriguez, Mestizo Beat, Anna Dellaria, and Michael Mancuso as well as with famous jazz artists such as Bob Mintzer, Dick Oatts, and Aaron Serfaty. Recently, he was the youngest participant in the jazz category of the 2016 13th UNISA International Piano Competition in Pretoria, South Africa.

Shane

Shane - music teacher

A pianist and film composer based in Los Angeles, Shane has been studying piano for 25 years beginning when he was five. Concentrating on the classical genre for much of his early years, he eventually expanded in a more well rounded musician, incorporating several styles and genres into his approach. He studied piano performance and composition at the University of Oregon, eventually earning a B.A. in Music Composition.

Adam - Piano teacher

Adam has been playing piano all his life - performing professionally for over 20 years, and teaching professionally for over a decade. His early focus was primarily in classical, but then switched to rock and improv in high school, and jazz and jazz improv during his undergraduate years at The University of Vermont. He received his Bachelor's Degree in the Liberal Arts there in 2003, with a major in Philosophy, and minors in Music and Religion.

Lindsay - Piano teacher

Lindsay has a BA from Berklee College of Music and over a decade of experience playing, performing and teaching. She draws from many years of experience as a songwriter, performer and composer, with a strong foundation in classical technique and many years spent studying jazz piano.

Originally from Columbia, Illinois, a small town outside of St. Louis, Missouri, Ryan's music career began when he started singing and playing guitar when he was 14. After spending much of high school and writing music with bands playing rock, blues, jazz, and gospel music local to St. Louis, Ryan moved to Nashville, Tennessee after receiving the Presidential full-ride scholarship to attend Belmont University.

James is a teacher and composer. He developed Craft Music for students of all ages and interests with a focus on creativity and community. He aims to stimulate and instill technique, singing, movement, improvisation and creativity. Aside from teaching, James has been a songwriter and performer, a film composer, and classical composer. He loves music in its many forms and traditions and welcomes students and teachers to join him in musical exploration.

Anna - Piano Teacher

Anna Dellaria is a professional vocalist, songwriter, and producer hailing from San Francisco. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance at USC’s prestigious Popular Music Program where she studied Vocal Pedagogy under Romeo Johnson (Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder), and Sean Holt (Santana, John Legend). Anna's music and vocal production can be heard around the world, on TV shows like Nickelodeon to HBO, or touring the country as a soloist for Composer Steve Hackman.

Jeffrey -  Piano Teacher

Originally from Wisconsin and Iowa, Jeff Ensign graduated with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, where he played tuba and majored in Music Education. Ensign went on to be the band director in Boyd, Texas before he attended the University of North Texas for his masters and PhD.

Alex - Piano Teacher

Alex Darouie is a freelance trumpet player, music educator, and producer based in Los Angeles, California. While earning his B.A.at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music Alex studied with some of the most acclaimed trumpet players in the world including Jens Lindemann, Jennifer Marotta, and Tom Hooten. As a student, Alex played in all of the music school’s performance ensembles like the UCLA Wind Ensemble, Philharmonia, Symphony Orchestra, and Brass Ensemble.

Beryl's teaching style emphasizes the importance of daily structured practice. Claire - Piano Teacher

Classically trained in the piano at the age of 5, Claire found her love for music through teaching, performance and composition. She began her music career as a teenager in 2004, performing rock and pop in South East Asia. A recent graduate of Berklee College of Music, she's been teaching piano to both children and adults, with a focus on technique, ear training, theory and repertoire. Amazingly enough, she confidently teaches guitar and violin as well.

Jared -  Piano Teacher

Jared is a guitarist, composer, songwriter and music producer from Los Angeles, CA. He has been teaching music since 2012 and strives to bring out the maximum potential in all of his students. His journey started at 9 years old when his father handed him his first guitar. In 2014, Sachs transferred to the University of North Texas on a scholarship. There he honed his skills in the famous North Texas lab Bands, as well as in groups that performed around the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Makiko - Piano Teacher

An international pianist and a recording artist with ten released albums, Makiko Hirata is “Dr. Pianist,” on a mission to promote the power of music to heal and unite us. In addition to her concerts, she collaborates with neuroscientists to quantify the benefit of music and promote music as an overlooked social resource through speaking engagements, workshops and writing. She is a US-Japan Leadership Program Fellow.

Tim

Tim -  Piano Teacher

Tim first began playing music with the electric bass in junior high school and soon after fell for the upright. Early classical training made him a strong sight reader and instilled a solid technical foundation that informs his teaching today. At Berklee College of Music, he studied privately under Bruce Gertz and Ron Madhi building his jazz vocabulary and bowing technique. In 2011, Tim graduated Berklee with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. He then completed his student teaching at the Middle School and High School levels in the greater Boston area, where he received his teaching license in 2012.
